This classroom server creates its own security certificate so games work over HTTPS without internet. Your browser doesn't know this certificate yet, so it may show a warning the first time. You have two options:

Option 1 — Quick (just proceed once)

On the warning page tap AdvancedProceed / Continue to site. Your browser remembers the choice on this device.

Continue to Games →

You'll be taken to the secure address automatically.

Option 2 — Recommended (install the certificate, no warnings ever)

Download Certificate

File: ubuntu-play-classroom.crt — then follow the steps for your device:


Android tablet / phone
  1. Open the downloaded file, or go to Settings → Security → Encryption & credentials → Install a certificate → CA certificate.
  2. Choose Install anyway and select the downloaded file.
  3. Done — reopen the browser and the warning is gone.
Windows laptop
  1. Double-click the downloaded file and choose Install Certificate…
  2. Select Local Machine (or Current User) → Place all certificates in the following store.
  3. Browse to Trusted Root Certification Authorities → Next → Finish.
  4. Restart the browser.
iPad / iPhone
  1. Download the certificate in Safari, then open Settings → Profile Downloaded → Install.
  2. Then go to Settings → General → About → Certificate Trust Settings and enable full trust for UbuntuPlay Classroom.
Chromebook
  1. Open chrome://settings/certificatesAuthorities tab → Import.
  2. Select the downloaded file and tick Trust this certificate for identifying websites.
Linux laptop
  1. Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Certificates → View Certificates → Authorities → Import.
  2. Chrome: chrome://settings/certificatesAuthoritiesImport.
